Privacy Policy
Alps Logistics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") is strongly aware of the social importance of protecting personal information; it hereby prescribes as follows a policy related to protecting personal information; and it is conducting activities to formulate, implement, maintain, and improve mechanisms for managing personal information.
1. Ensuring the safety of personal information
- (1) When handling personal information, the Company will comply with applicable laws, regulations, and other standards.
- (2) The Company will ensure that its directors, officers and employees recognize the importance of protecting personal information, and will formulate and reliably implement the “Regulations for Protecting Personal Information” in order to appropriately use and protect personal information.
- (3) In order to maintain and improve mechanisms for managing personal information, the Company will continuously educate and enlighten its directors, officers and employees.
- (4) The Company will designate a person responsible for management in each department that handles personal information and will strive to appropriately manage personal information.
- (5) The Company will implement information security measures and other safety measures and will strive to prevent unauthorized access to personal information or the loss, manipulation, destruction, or leaks of personal information.
- (6) The Privacy Policy and its related regulations, and mechanisms for managing personal information will be reconsidered as necessary and continuously improved.
2. Disclosure or provision of personal information to third parties
Except in the cases below, the Company will not disclose or provide personal information to third parties.
- (1) Cases in which the person has obtained a principal's consent
- (2) Cases in which it is required by laws or regulations
- (3) Cases in which there is a need to protect a human life, body, or property, and when it is difficult to obtain a principal's consent
- (4) Cases in which there is a special need to enhance public health or promote healthy development and growth of children, and when it is difficult to obtain a principal's consent
- (5) Cases in which there is a need to cooperate with a central government organization or a local government, or an entity engaged by it to perform affairs prescribed by law and regulations, and when there is a possibility that obtaining a principal's consent would interfere with the performance of the said affairs
- (6) Cases in which the Company will employ a subcontractor to perform a whole or part of the affairs within the scope necessary to achieve a utilization purpose (in such a case, the Company will be the responsible party and will conduct appropriate management.)
3. Utilization purposes of personal information
Except in cases prescribed in laws and regulations, when obtaining personal information, the Company will clearly indicate, give notification of, or publicly disclose the utilization purposes, and then obtain personal information within the scope that is necessary and use it within the scope of the utilization purposes. The Company's utilization purposes of personal information are as stated below:

- Fulfilling contracts related to the services requested
- (5) Personal information on people who apply for employment
- The Company's hiring activities and related affairs
4. Joint use of personal information
The Company may jointly use personal information within the scope of entities stated in (2) below to the extent necessary in order to achieve the utilization purpose referred to in the previous section.

- Name, contact details (address, telephone number, fax number, e-mail address, etc.), employer information (name of employer, name of department, position, etc.), content of inquiry, content of request, information related to product purchase (purchase history, etc.), and content related to contracts

- The Company's group companies (Japan, Overseas)

5. Requests for disclosure of personal information
The Company has prescribed the following procedures for requesting notification, disclosure, or correction of the utilization purpose, or cessation of use of personal information, etc.

Please additionally enclose a document that certifies the right of legal representation (e.g., certificate of registered matters) and a personal identification document related to the representative (item (ii) above). - (c) Case of a delegated representative
Please additionally enclose a letter of proxy from the principal making the request (with the principal's registered seal affixed), an original copy of the registered seal certificate, and a personal identification document related to the representative (item (ii) above).
* In the case of a request by a representative, we will mail it to the address stated in the personal identification document related to the representative.
- (2) Information about making a request
- We do not charge service fees, but we ask that you kindly bear the various expenses for creating an application form and mailing it to the Company.
- We will use personal information that was provided for the request only for replying to the request and managing that history.
- Please understand in advance that we will not return documents that were included for the purpose of confirming the request or confirming the representative.
- Please understand that we cannot accept requests made by telephone or by directly coming to the Company.

7. Updates of and revisions to the Privacy Policy
The Company may update or revise its Privacy Policy without giving advance notification. The updated or revised Privacy Policy will be applied with priority over the Privacy Policy before updating or revision.

Alps Logistics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") strongly recognizes the social importance of personal data protection, and has established the following the Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy"). We strive to formulate, implement, maintain and improve the personal data management system.
- 1. Scope of application
- This Policy applies to any data which are governed by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the related national laws and regulations, when:

- When the Company seeks to further process personal data for a purpose other than that the personal data have been collected, the Company will provide information related to such other purpose and all additional relevant information before processing the data.

- The Company will share personal data collected from the data subjects with other members of the Alps Logistics Group (Japan, Overseas). In addition, we may share personal information with companies such as marketing companies that provide marketing services, if necessary.
- 5. Security
- In order to protect the personal data of the data subject, the Company will implement information security measures and other safety measures, and strive to prevent unauthorized access to personal data or the loss, manipulation, destruction, or leaks of personal data. Access rights to personal data is limited to employees, representatives, subcontractors, and other third parties that need to access that personal data. These persons are obliged to maintain confidentiality under their contract with the Company.
- The Company has internally formulated its EU Personal Data Protection Regulation. The Company will notify the competent supervisory authorities and the relevant data subjects if required under applicable laws.
- 6. Retention period
- The Company will not retain personal data any longer than strictly necessary for the purpose of use of such data. Personal data that is no longer needed for the purpose of use or processing purposes will be deleted.
- 7. Cookies and web beacons
