Information Systems

Flexibility to fit the customer's requirements

Alps Logistics has developed, customized and operated our range of logistics information systems in-house. These systems bring together all of the experience and know-how we have gained through working with over 1,900 companies in Japan over more than half a century. By customizing these systems in line with the unique systems environments and business structures each individual customer has in place, we can provide a high quality IT infrastructure that enables us to respond flexibly to our customers.

The advantages of original information systems

We have two significant advantages for a logistics company to develop or customize and operate its systems in-house. The first is that having understood the details of our customers' requirements, we can achieve a completely tailored response through customization. The second is major reductions in the time and cost of development. The benefits our high quality IT infrastructure offer are one of the reasons so many leading international manufacturers of electronic components, as well as trading companies, choose Alps Logistics as their logistics partner.
By consistently working on developing and improving our logistics information systems, what we are really aiming for is the advancement of logistics management for our customers.

Using our ACCS to make logistics visible

The heart of our information systems is the Alps Cargo Center System (ACCS), our warehouse management system (WMS). This WMS enables us to achieve high-precision warehouse operations that reflect Logistics Individuality, our term for the know-how we've built up by working with over 1,900 companies in Japan for more than half a century.
The centralization of information through our ACCS is why we are able offer the detailed-oriented response characteristic of Alps Logistics warehousing, from receiving through to shipping out. We are able to carry out detailed information processing, from free location management based on cargo size, to picking by piece as required for electronic components, to small-lot-split shipment. What's more, our ACCS features a rich line-up of support for tasks relating to shipping out, such as customer-specific packaging and various shipping documents. Compatibility with multiple languages means that the system can be used to provide the same quality of warehouse operations services internationally as we do in Japan.
Optimal logistics evolves in response to customer needs. Using information technology—starting with ACCS—to enhance logistics quality for our customers. That's what Alps Logistics is aiming to achieve.

High-quality piece control made possible by ACCS

EDI coordination to support customer's system

The most significant feature of our ACCS is how it can be customized through Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) with the customer's core system. From the moment customer cargo arrives in an Alps Logistics warehouse to the moment it is shipped out, we are able to share ACCS information with the customer. This makes it possible to make savings in paperwork processing and to shorten lead times. It also leads to improved accuracy by minimizing human error, such as incomplete forms, delivery mistakes, and data sharing errors.
It's more important than ever to be able to respond to day-to-day market fluctuations, to be accurate in demand forecasting, and to prepare accurate schedules for production and sales. EDI coordination ensures the prompt sharing of information relating to cargo receiving, inventory, and shipments, thereby helping customers to achieve greater speed in planning and scheduling. Through our reliable information systems, Alps Logistics can help customers achieve a competitive edge to their business.
