Providing a Japan-quality service internationally

Alps Logistics offers logistics services, including transport, warehousing, and freight forwarding, across some 15 countries and regions worldwide and some 80 our own operation centers. We can guarantee the same quality of logistics service internationally as we offer in Japan. Read more about the strength of Alps Logistics' networks and how we're able to meet the needs of increasingly complex global supply chains.

A domestic network focused on
the quality-efficiency balance

Alps Logistics has some 30 centers throughout Japan. They have been positioned to enable the strategic implementation of transport services across the whole of Japan, based on our analysis of the locations and logistics trends among industrial sectors. With these centers as a foundation, we are able to make highly efficient transport a reality through a service unique to Alps Logistics. Namely, our extended virtual milk runs.
This service combines milk runs, where a single truck travels around multiple suppliers, and trunk line transport. Even for suppliers with remotely situated pick up points or centers across the whole of Japan, Alps Logistics will pick up cargo via milk runs in each area then combine the cargo from proximate areas for trunk line transport. This service means we aren't constrained by pick up areas and can instead provide a flexible and highly efficient network.
This service is ideal for assembly manufacturers looking for the thorough implementation of shared deliveries by multiple suppliers, shared pick-ups consolidating components from across Japan, and Just In Time Delivery without having to carry an inventory.

An international network
that makes quality logistics a reality

In response to the globalization of industry, Alps Logistics has expanded its international centers and networks. We can offer international transport worldwide using our multi-functional logistics centers, which combine domestic cargo warehousing and customs warehousing functions and are located in the vicinity of such key locations as Narita International Airport and the Port of Tokyo. We have also established our own operation network by setting up centers in key transport locations for air and ocean freight in China, ASEAN, India, Korea, Taiwan, North America, and Europe. These efforts have enabled us to build up an impressive track record.
For example, we have worked hard to reinforce our network in China, pioneering expansion in line with China's economic development ahead of the rest of our logistics industry. The China Plus One strategy adopted by industry in recent years has seen companies decentralizing their presence, primarily by relocating production across multiple countries in ASEAN. In response, we have focused on strengthening our logistics framework across ASEAN, enabling us to meet a wide range of customer needs.
The ability to guarantee the same high quality logistics service that we provide in Japan no matter where we're operating. That's the real strength of Alps Logistics as a logistics service operating on the global stage.

Reinforcing our Global One Channel Service

Industrial Engineering (IE) is a process control method used across the manufacturing industry. When this method is used not only to manage each process but also to consider the connections among multiple processes, in order to achieve overall optimization, it is referred to as Total Industrial Engineering (TIE). The unique Global One Channel Service we offer at Alps Logistics is the result of applying the TIE approach to logistics.
From warehousing in Japan, to transport, import and export, then warehousing and transport in the destination country. If each of these logistics functions is outsourced to a different company, both time and cost will be wasted. To eliminate this, Alps Logistics is focused on building and maintaining our own operation structure, as well as centralizing information. We use IT to integrate all information on our operations: that's everything from cargo pick up in Japan, to warehouse control, export work, import clearance, and temporary storage and transport in local destinations. As well as making transition smooth among each process, this also enables us to manage global logistics from a total optimization perspective. Transport optimized for warehousing, warehousing optimized for import and export, export optimized for the ease of the overseas recipient: with Alps Logistics, both the centralized control and incoming/outgoing of information contribute to logistics optimization.
Our Global One Channel Service brings together logistics functions and cargo information. By reinforcing this service, Alps Logistics can provide powerful support for the optimization of our customers' global supply chains.
